Vesna Plavec from Slovenia, founder of Avantgard Metalli brand, made a crown for Queen fitness model 2017.

TIARAS AND CROWN
Tiaras and crown are handmade, forged from industrial aluminum. The process requires thousands of impacts with a hammer and a huge fire. They represent all the power and energy that is brought (as hard as forged 😉 into the lifestyle of competitors.

THE MAKING OF
Vesna: Once we chose the right shape and got the sample ready it was on.

The tailoring, shaping the aluminum and forging. A couple of days of hammering are in front of me. Gettings some extra muscle mass on the side. No pain, no gain. The texture and samples emerge by hammering with different types of hammers, also an axe. Luckily, at a certain point I get to rest a bit as the metal needs to be heated to soften it again.

And so on, slowly soldiering on. Hammer, axe, fire, …… hammer out, beat into shape, form, fire. Hammering, grinding. But don’t let me bore you, a couple of pics until the desired look is achieved.
